Aperture and Depth of Field

F2
With the aperture setting at F2 the shutting speed needed to be 1/400

F8
The aperture was at F8 so the shutter speed was set at 100

F16
The aperture was at F16 so the shutter speed was at 4

Reflection
The thing that worked most well was position the items where I needed them. The most challenging was one deciding what items to use and two getting the aperture and shutter speed to work together.
I used a tripod to make sure, especially with F16, that the pictures weren't blurry. I say especially at F16 because the shutter speed was so low. I can use these tools I used to help better the quality of photo I took by lighting and shutter speed and add the affect of having one thing in focus while everything else is blurred out or everything in focus and the background blurred out.

Still Life

These are the ten items I choose to shoot that are important to me and my life.

1. The stuffed bear- This bear was the most recent valentines present from my mom. It is important to me because every year my mom will always get us a valentine and that means a lot to me.

2. pill bottle- between the stuffed bears legs is a pill bottle. This medication is what I take for my lupus and helps me to feel more like my old healthy self.

3. Trophy- To the left of the bear in the back is a cheer trophy. This trophy is important to me because it's from when I was younger and a cheerleader and was my favorite trophy.

4. Young life bottle- In front of the trophy is my water bottle. I take this thing everywhere. I got it from young life winter camp. Joining young life has been the best decision I have made because it makes me a better person and I have met some of the greatest people through the organization.

5. Phone- In front of the water bottle is my phone. It is like my second limb.

6. Soccer ball- To the right of the bear is a soccer ball. Soccer was the first and last sport I played in high school and it made me stronger because of it.

7. Cleats- Next to the soccer ball are my soccer cleats and I was wearing these when I scored my first goal.

8. Picture- The picture in front of the soccer ball and the cleats is a senior gift from Mrs. Edge for yearbook and it makes me think of the awesome year I had being apart of such an amazing group.

9. Scarf- In front of everything lays a scarf. I love scarfs and have over 20 of them, like a collection of them. They are a part of who I am.

10. Graduation cap- Lastly on top of the bears head is my graduation cap. This represents all of my hard work finally paying off.

Reflection-
While doing this project the thing that worked most well was figuring out the items
I wanted to use that were important to me and really represented who I am. The most challenging part was getting the lighting how I wanted it and making sure everything was how I wanted it to look. Next I would probably use a different back drop and maybe arrange the items differently. I just used the cropping tool and adjusted the images contrast. While taking the picture I used a backdrop and lighting. I can use the skills I used with lighting to help better my photo taking skills.

Spot the difference

Reflection

During this project many things happened. What worked well was when I wanted to add a new image to the original because I knew how to use the selection tool and copy from the image and paste it to the new image.
The most challenging piece was trying to get the clone stamp to work and a tool called patch work because they wouldn't work on a new layer for some reason that I couldn't figure out.
Next time I would probably stick to the thing I knew in the first place and not mess with the settings of the tools. I used many tools, including the clone stamp to get rid of the reflection of the Eiffel tower on the ground and to get rid of anything extra from the pattern tool which helped disguise the part of the image. like the top of the Eiffel tower to hid the point of it.
I cant use these tools later in life to edit a photo especially if there is an unwanted part to the picture but the rest of the image looks good this way I can fix the image to get rid of the part that I don't like .

Color Wheel and Article

Reflection
While doing this project the thing that worked well was finding objects that went with the color wheel. The most challenging thing was getting my camera to work right and not take blurry photos. The thing I would do differently next time is take multiple shots of the same thing and pick which image was the best. I didn't really use any special tools on photo shop but while taking the pictures I used photographer lights to help take a good picture of each object. The things I learned while doing this project were mostly using different modes on the camera and what a difference the white balance makes for a photo.

Article- explanation of RGB and CMYK color spaces
RGB= Red, Green and Blue
CMYK= Cyan, Yellow, Magenta and Black
These things are used when printing
CYMK is much older way of displaying color and RGB is used when taking the pictures.

RGB color space is reserved for sources that emit light, the more color you add the closer to white that you will get. Adding up all the colors of the rainbow gets you white. RGB Color space has three main categories; ProPhoto RGB, Adobe RGB and sRGB
ProPhoto has the largest range, Adobe in the middle and sRGB is the smallest but is the most commonly used.

The CYMK Color Space is the opposite of RGB. The more color you add the closer to black you get= reflected light. While printing it doesn't use light is uses ink which absorbs light.
When all inks are added together all the light is absorbed giving you black.
RGB- CYMK relationship; red is controlled by cyan, green is controlled by magenta and blue is controlled by yellow.

Tripod Project

Reflection
The thing that worked well was taking the pictures and copy each individual shot to make one whole one. The most challenging was when taking the pictures, getting photos that had all the same lighting since it was a cloudy day and the light source ( sun) kept moving. Next time I would definitely take all my shots inside so I can have a light source that wouldn't move. I used the quick selection tool and then copied and pasted apart of the image and pasted it to a new picture. I can use the things I learned to know how to use a tri pod properly which can come in handy throughout life, especially when photographers run in the family.

The thing that worked well and was the easiest for me was taking all those pictures. The  most challenging was deciding which pictured belonged in each category and which did not and which picture was the best for that category. Next time I would just take one or two pictures for each category that way it would be easy to decide between two pictures rather than ten. I can use this outside of the classroom because it helped me use my eyes in different ways and use lighting and angles to my advantage.

Photomontage

Photomontage 6a)

REFLECTION

While doing this project it took a lot of patience and time to get it the way I wanted. The thing that worked well was following the directions via school blog to help me create a photomontage. The part that was most challenging for me was staying calm and not getting frustrated. Also getting the right pieces to fight in the right place to make it look like the image it was suppose too. The thing I would do differently would be keeping my camera in one zoom, not changing it at all or I get extra pictures that won't work with the picture. The tools I used were mainly the resizing tool and the moving tool to get the pictures where I wanted them to go. In the future I can use this to create other pieces of art work with different images from all over.
